The BURKEA Business Support Centre:

Many People possess excellent business ideas. To translate these ideas into profit generating enterprises requires a diversity of specialized skills:

  • Financial, Legal and Information Technology skills.

  • Ability to transform ideas into professional business plans.

  • Facilitation of funding for enterprise and project development.

  • Access to a network of supporting industries and training institutions.

  • Access to a dynamic database of winning concepts and precautions against failure.

The BURKEA Business Support Centre is a Non-Profit Section 21 Company, designed for the purpose of rendering professional support services for developing enterprises. The aim is to support the youth (Learners at School and students involved in further studies) to engage in profit generating business enterprises and projects. By sharing the costs in attaining professional business support services (such as financial management, marketing and legal support), the participating enterprises can cut their overheads significantly.

Our Vision:

  • Establishing a range of small business enterprises to support local job creation. The focus is to replicate best practice models of sustainable enterprises and to scale enterprises to meet the local demand.

  • Transfer specific skills and provide technology training (the Curriculum Plus Program).

  • Develop Entrepreneurship (Business Plan Development, Enterprise Constitution Workshop, Alignment of Workers, Sharing of Best Practice Models, etc.)

  • Develop direct links with the corporate industry, private sector and educational institutions (with mammoth opportunities for synergy, including knowledge and skills transfer).
