Project / Business Registration
You can register projects or business enterprises by completing the Application for Registration Form. The BURKEA Support Centre (Registration number: 2008/018274/08) is a Non-profit entity, incorporated under Section 21 of the Company Laws.
Registered members of the BURKEA Support Centre qualify for the following benefits:
Professional Business Support Services (Financial Management, Legal Support, Marketing, and Information Technology Solutions).
Facilitation of Funding for Enterprise and Project Development.
Provision of a network of supporting companies and training institutions.
Access to a continuously updated data base of information on Winning ideas and Precautions against Failure.
Access to funding through a Savings- and Credit Plan to realise enterprises and projects. Persons are allowed to start a savings- and credit plan, even when they are as yet uncertain about their Future plans.

REGISTRATION AT BURKEA BUSINESS SUPPORT CENTRE:
Complete the APPLICATION FORM. If an applicant is still a minor, then the form must be completed and signed by his/her parent/s or legal guardian/s.
Fax the completed application form back (Fax details on application form).
Pay the R50 Registration Fee PLUS the First Month's Saving Plan amount.

A copy of the approved application form will be faxed back to the applicant within seven working days so that the debit order can be handed in at his/her bank.
Reasons to start a Savings and Credit Plan with the BURKEA Support Centre:
The BURKEA Support Centre is a Section 21 Company (not for profit). The main purpose of the company is “Community upliftment and development support centre in all its facets and related activities”. Selected enterprises and projects contributing towards achieving this purpose could qualify for the following benefits:
Business Support Network (Mentorship, Management, Insurance, Information Technology and Legal support, Savings and Credit Plan, etc.)
Access to loans for project and enterprise development through the “Business Development Fund”
Data base of winning ideas (best practice models) and precautions against failure.
Background on the BURKEA Support Centre Savings and Credit PlanFunding for project and enterprise development could be approved in advance. Contracts could be designed to explain the allocation of funds (Terms of reference).
With the approval of a project or enterprise, the BURKEA Support Centre will issue a letter of support to assist the Applicant to acquire investments.
Money saved by an Applicant will serve as a guarantee to access loans for approved projects and enterprises. The money saved may be applied to relief the last portion of loan redemption or could be maintained as a guarantee for future approved projects or enterprises.
Funds of other participants in the Burkea Support Centre Savings and Credit Plan could be allocated as additional guarantees to approve substantial loans.
A Person can start a Savings and Credit Plan with the purpose to approve future loans on projects or enterprises in South Africa within the overarching purpose of the BURKEA Support Centre.
The Savings plan is composed in units of R50 per month. The monthly installment is calculated to meet the capital requirement of a project or enterprise.
To register the Savings and Credit Plan a fee of R50 is charged as well as the first month installment. A monthly Stop Order is arranged for future payments.
On request, approved loans may exceed the money saved by a person three times.
